A baby begins learning the communication process at birth. The baby figures out the crazy world she has suddenly entered by listening to sounds, looking at objects and interacting with Mommy and Daddy and other important people in her life. The baby’s senses send all of the messages she is receiving (from the things she sees and hears) to the brain, and connections are made. Meanings become attached to words and phrases. These words string together to make sentences, and soon the baby begins to communicate through facial expressions, body language, sounds, and at around 12 months first words.

How does baby do all these remarkable things? Immersed in a "surround sound" world of meaningful talk, baby soaks in language and communication. However, not all babies are born into a language-rich environment. Some families are non-talkative people by nature, and really do very little talking with their babies. For a variety of reasons, others are unable to immerse the child in the language of their home. Maybe the family works long hours outside the home. Maybe they are going to school. Some families may not realize how important this is. And families don’t know how to talk to their child. But Learn To Talk Around The Clock Concepts is here to help.
